What Full Traceability Actually Means

Every pack carries a batch number that traces to a single farm, a single farmer and a single field. Here's how.

'British beef' can legally mean many things. For us it means one thing: we can name the farm, the farmer and in most cases the field your beef was raised on.

Every batch we make comes from a single farm on a single day. The batch number on your pack — and the QR code beside it — links directly to that farm's page, its story and its family history.

We work with five farming families. Not five hundred. Each one raises native or traditional breeds, grazes them on pasture, and shares our belief that great beef cannot be rushed.

Anonymous beef is cheaper. It is also, we think, the reason so much dried beef needs fifteen ingredients. Know your farmer, know your food.
